A Child's Garden - Growing and Learning Since 1971!

Our Program

A Child’s Garden accepts Infants (age 3 months by August 31st of the current school year) through Pre-K.

Schedules: The following schedules are available for all age groups. Five days (M-F), three days (MWF), or two days (T/Th), 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, 8:30 am -4:30 pm or full days (7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.).

Children enrolled before 9 am and after 3 pm, participate in our early care and after care programs. Children will be offered Indoor and outdoor self-selection options and a story time.

The school provides snacks in the morning for all children, and in the afternoon for children enrolled after 3 pm. Lunch is the only outside food required from families.

Interim care is offered, at an additional cost, on an as needed basis for most of the weeks that ACG is otherwise closed. Ordinarily interim care is not provided for individual closure days, such as Staff Development Days or National Holidays. We are closed two additional days for family/teacher conferences, which are held during the regular calendar year.


All children enrolled for extended day schedules (after 1:00) are provided a cot for rest time.


ACG offers a summer session in June and July, approximately seven weeks in duration. The specific schedule and information, including fees are available in early spring. The summer session is organized only for children who are enrolled during the school year at ACG. ACG’s regular teachers form the core for the staffing, and the program is consistent with the goals and curriculum as stated in this handbook. Registration is held in March. Enrollment is limited and therefore, not guaranteed. Tuition cannot be pro-rated if a child does not participate for the entire session. A child’s place will only be secured for summer with payment by May 20 in full.
